10 Years...Whaaaaat?

It hardly feels like 10 years have gone by since high school, hopefully the next 10 don't fly by so quickly. If you have been living under a rock or are new to my blog, you may not know that I (basically) single handedly planned the 10 year soiree for the Presott High School Class of 2001.

I worked with the company Reunion Coordinator and I CANNOT say enough good things about them, seriously. If you are planning a reunion, contact them, and ask for Pete :) They handled all of the contracts, deposits etc. and provide DJ and photography services. I was part of a "committee" who was in charge of contacting classmates. One by one, the "committee" members came up with excuses reasons they couldn't put in a little time here and there to send some Facebook messages and emails, so I made it my business to make sure we had a reunion. Luckily, all of my hard work paid off and the weekend was a success (if I do say so myself).

Friday night was cocktails at a bar on Whiskey Row called Hooligan's. It was the perfect event to kick off the weekend and get to know a little about what people have been up to. Sadly, I did not take many pictures  :( I was so busy all weekend making sure things went smoothly that picture taking was neglected.

 (Where's Rachel?)
Saturday night was the main event; reception, dinner, dancing and drinks. My mom and I made centerpieces for the tables, somehow I managed to take pictures of those :)

We sat with Jeff and Sheila of course, as well as some other people that we had a great time catching up with.
I was the Master of Ceremonies so I welcomed everyone, organized the class picture and handled the trivia portion of the evening. The trivia questions were based on our high school superlatives "most likely to..." and I was impressed at how much people remembered. That was one of my favorite parts of the evening.
Everyone was very complimentary and appreciative and that made all of the work and frustration worth it. People really seemed to enjoy themselves, some even carried the after party on until 3am. I was NOT one of those people!

Sunday was the picnic at Granite Creek Park where people came and relaxed in the beautiful weather. We spent the afternoon on a picnic blanket with Sheila, Jeff and the kiddos, so fun!
I held Gia pretty much the whole time (shocking, I know) but Nicholas got jealous and wanted his Aunt Rachel to hold him too...
Now I know how Sheila feels ALL. OF. THE. TIME. Lucky bish.

Nothing too exciting or juicy, no one claimed to invent the post it, but all in all a pretty great time. See you in 10 years...someone else better help me plan this thing!
