Labor Day Weekend

I'm so glad to be enjoying an extra day off this week! I told Dan I thought I could make it through the next few of weeks of work because they are all (somewhat) 4 day weeks.

Labor day weekend for the past few years has been a big weekend for us since we got married on September 5, 2009! Of course, that was the best weekend ever!

The next year, we celebrated our 1 year anniversary with a night's stay at the Hassayampa Inn, where we had our reception. It was so fun, I'd love to do it again on the big years 1, 5, 10 (unless we're in Hawaii!)

Last year, we weren't able to make it up to Prescott but my parents sent us to a local resort to relax and celebrate. You can read about that long weekend here.

This year, our anniversary falls on Wednesday of this week and Dan will be working so I'm not sure how we'll celebrate. We spent Saturday at our childbirth class which was informative and I learned that I'm NOT crazy for semi-freaking out about the symptoms that I have been experiencing. Turns out, I have every symptom but one (water breaking) on the list for pre-term labor where they tell you to call your doctor. According to my doctor I'm not having pre-term labor but you can understand my concern! Not to mention, the ankle swelling is out of control, I've developed carpal tunnel in my hands and I didn't feel baby B for almost 24 hours! Thank goodness he's back at it, bumping and thumping against my ribs but its so major to have 2 to worry about in there!

Yesterday we went to Dan's brother's house and did some swimming and BBQing with the Sartis. It felt great to be in the pool and I tried a somersault to get baby A to turn from breech to head down...we'll see if I was successful at my appointment next week!

Today I have to start carb loading for the 3 hour glucose tolerance test I have to take on Thursday. I don't really understand it but I'll do what I need to do. Who'd have thought that I'd have trouble adding carbs to my diet? Crazy!

We might go out and buy some shelves etc. for the babies room today, I've got a bunch of stuff on order from Amazon and I can't wait for it to arrive! We've been getting packages pretty regularly and it's so exciting! Friday both of the car seats arrived, compliments of my Aunt Sally and Dan's mom Mimi :)

We also received a gift from our sweet friends Natalie and Joe in Charlotte. We are so thankful for our generous friends and family! These boys are very, very lucky! I'm looking forward to my shower next weekend, I'm sure my sisters in law will perform nothing short of a miracle here :)
