The Ants Go Marching

I thought I'd treat myself to a nice little Sunday morning Starbucks and retail therapy and pick up the Sunday Arizona Republic in hopes of scoring some great coupons. Babbling Abby gave out tips and tricks for saving some dollas using coupons a while back and I thought I'd give it a shot.

Money saving in mind I picked up a free to me Grande Chai compliments of the (only) end of the year gift card from a student. My main goal was to pick up the paper, but one cannot enter Target without purchasing  something lots of things. Here is what I got for a grand total of $6.17.

Cute top $5.74 - $5 gift card from previous purchase = $0.74

4 pack tupperware, 4 pack blue baskets and generic Mad Libs for my classroom $1 each at the Dollar Spot =$3.00

(I know my numbers don't add up but add tax etc.)

While I was admiring my loot, I noticed this...

"And all the little ants go marching..." Is this what Dave Matthews meant? There were ANTS EVERYWHERE! You may be asking yourself, "how do you take care of ants all over the kitchen?" Let me tell you...

Ant Removal Tutorial

1. Spray Raid until you nostrils bleed

2. Place all appliances, canisters etc on island

3. Throw away all flour, sugar and coffee from contaminated canisters

4. Empty salt and pepper shakers

5. Wipe all dead ants off of counter tops and pretend they are just coffee grounds in order to prevent vomiting

6. Throw away the sponge you used

7. Clean all counters and sink with comet

8. Wipe down all counters and sink with Lysol

9. Clean all canisters and appliances and replace on counter tops

10. Clean island

11. Shower

12. Wish you could get that hour and a half of your life back

You are welcome. Now my kitchen is spotless yet continues to reek of Raid/Comet so I think we'll be eating out tonight. How was your Sunday?
