Confessional Friday

I confess that this is my first link up with Leslie and I'm loving all of her pregnancy updates, makes me miss being pregnant...a little.

I confess that I am completely obsessed with planning the twin's first birthday party. While the party isn't for 3 more weeks, I've been making lists, revising lists, shopping and crafting my heart out during naps. We are doing "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" theme and while Dan maintains that they won't remember, I think it's important to make the first birthday special. Especially to celebrate with all of our friends and family who helped us survive the first year with TWINS!

I confess that I haven't decorated for Fall yet :( Usually my Fall decor makes its debut by September 1 but with the heat, my surgery and the babies party planning, I haven't gotten around to it, tear. My goal is to get to it this weekend.

I confess that I've hit a wall with baby food. I have loved making all of the boys food for the past 5 months but now they're in the awkward stage where they are ready to feed themselves and should be eating mostly what we eat. This presents a couple of problems because a) I only cook official meals on the nights that Dan is home and 2) when I do give them all finger foods (no purées) more of it ends up in their lap than their mouth! So I'm concerned that they aren't getting enough nutrition. What to do, what to do? Moms, any tips???

I confess that my life revolves 100% around the twins. And I am A OK with this. Being a SAHM mom was always my dream and I wouldn't change it. Yes, I'd love more income, not to clean 2 high chairs 3 times a day and to have some adult interaction once and a while but I do not miss working! Sometimes I feel self conscious that all I talk about, think about and post on Instagram or Facebook about are the boys but then I came across this on Pinterest and thought, "AMEN".

I confess that I stay up WAY too late Pinning nonsense on my phone. I do however, get around to some of the projects. Lately mostly birthday party stuff but I'm planning a laundry room upgrade, some bathroom décor and a couple of sewing projects. We'll be putting the house on the market sometime early 2014 so I'd like to do some improvements and get them done in time to enjoy them before we move back East.

And because no post is complete without pictures of the twins...here's one of my favorites that I confess may have made an appearance in a previous post or two ;)
