So, good news...I saw a dog today. Just kidding ;) Has anyone been watching Elf as much as we have? Just checking! But it is good news, my school earned an A rating from the Department of Education based on last year's achievement!
Out of 23 schools in the district, we were one of six schools to earn an A! It feels great that all of the hard work paid off. Now that we have a whole new group of students (we lost our group after the merger and gained a new bunch of kiddos from the other school we merged with) we'll have to do everything we can to keep the label.
Despite being Santa crazed maniacs, my class pulled it off!
19/20 kids met the benchmark for our Winter Dibels assessment! I was worried about a couple of kids making it but they did it and I am so proud of them!
It's good to know that despite my frustrations in the classroom and constantly feeling like I am 2 steps behind, they ARE actually learning :) They also took the Easy CBM math assessment and made HUGE growth. Thank goodness!
Now we only have two and a half more days before break...we can do it! (As long as rainy day schedule doesn't continue, then maybe we won't!)
