Ben and Will are now over 2 months old! It's so exciting to watch them grow and change.
We haven't been to the two month appointment yet because I had to reschedule so we could pick up Dan from the airport on Christmas Eve so I don't have weights etc. but I'm sure they are both about 10 pounds and mostly the same size.
Both boys are eating 4 ounces every 3 hours during the day and 4 1/2 at night. They are improving with their nap schedule and sleep about 6 hours at night. After an early am feeding they'll sleep about another 3, this will go by the wayside once I'm back to work but we'll enjoy it for now! Ben is such a mover when he sleeps that we've moved Will back to the bassinet so they don't roll into one another. I'll start them in their cribs when we get home from Prescott.
We are very into our routine, so much so that if we get out of it a little we pay for it later. I try to keep them both awake between the 5:30 and 8:30 feeding so they'll sleep more at night. Last week we were at Grammer's (Dan's mom) for dinner and they slept almost the whole time so they only slept in 3 hour increments that night, mommy fail! Now I have decided that we won't go out in the evenings unless it's a special occasion. I'd like to have some freedom to deviate from the schedule without things going wrong later but maybe that will come.
Will, you are still our "Little Tiny" even though you are not so tiny. Most of the time you are chill Will and pretty much go with the flow. You get a little crabby in the evenings and your cry is so major but totally cute at the same time. You love to talk and coo back and forth with us and while you don't love tummy time, you are getting stronger. In the past few days you have started to smile at us when we talk and play with you. You love to be held and will eat any amount we offer you in the bottle. Your hair is starting to grow back and it looks like Daddy's. Your cheeks are taking over and I just love to kiss them and love on you!
Ben, you are a little meatball. You are so active, pumping your legs and moving your arms all the time. You rolled over for the first time on your 2 month birthday! You still make the "Ben" face a lot, so serious :) You are starting to coo more often and you LOVE tummy time. You hold your head up so well and you're very strong. You still make us work for it when we feed you even though you get so hungry that you eat your hands and shake your head back and forth. It is SO. CUTE. Most of the time I can't get the bottle in because your hands or the burp cloth is in the way! You love to be held and suck furiously on your pacifier, we retired the soothies because they always fall out but you love a Nuk. You and William are perfect babies!
This month the twins celebrated their first Thanksgiving, went on their first trip on an airplane, met the Couvreur family and Great Grandma Couvreur, came to Prescott for the first time, met Santa and saw Christmas lights, and saw snow for the first time!
Happy two months my sweet boys!
