Another first this Friday...I'm linking up for Five on Friday because even as a SAHM, Friday just feels good, ya know?
ONE
Will took his FIRST STEPS! 7 of them to be exact and yes, I counted! It was on Monday night and I was changing Ben's diaper when Will stood up and started walking. I just stared at him while he took all seven steps and then sat his big buns (he got it from his mama) down. Then I proceeded to cry, laugh and pretty much go crazy!
TWO
The twins are eleven months. I am going to have two, one year old babies in T minus 2 weeks and I'm dying over it! I'm having a blast planning their "Very Hungry Caterpillar" themed party as I may have mentioned a time or two ;) Birthday headquarters is in full swing!
THREE
I was able to substitute teach yesterday for the first time since I left the classroom to stay home with the boys. I was in for one of my best friends and my teammate from last year and my old school. It was so great to see my old teacher friends and former students. I could seriously teach if it didn't involve all of the prep, planning, grading, conferences, discipline, yada, yada, yada. I'm looking forward to going back as soon as Dan has another day off.
FOUR
The weather is FINALLY cooling off and we are able to enjoy the outdoors. After about 5 months of sweltering temps here in AZ, it is a welcomed change! My brother came over last weekend to help me out with some yard work while Dan was in Philly and it looks great. Not to mention it's one less thing Dan has to worry about while he's home.
FIVE
We are addicted, obsessed and can't get enough of Costco! It's a good thing we have no money, otherwise we'd buy everything there! Luckily we stick to the basics like diapers, wipes and dog food but each time we're in there we talk ourselves into one purchase or another. They have some amazing toys right now and we're hoping our friends love Costco as much as we do and end up there looking for a birthday present for the twins. Hint, hint ;) In the mean time, we'll be investing in this bad boy for many, many outings including the pumpkin patch and the boys second "first" Halloween (where they're not preemie buns barely out of the oven).
Last, for good measure...a pic of the twins!

you are so precious!!! found you on the linkup. confession: my hubs' mom is an identical twin. and my not-so-secret-nonsensical wish from that....is that i will have twin boys one day. :)
