Dan and the twins made my first Mother's Day very special :) Dan let me sleep in, however I got up in time to change and dress the boys. We fed them their oatmeal cereal and tried bananas, it was pretty successful! Dan ran out to Einstein's to pick up breakfast and I rocked both babies before their nap. I'll never get tired of having them both sleep on my chest.
We got busy packing up the house, we're getting new carpet before we sell or rent out our house and they need us to have all of the knick knacks packed up as well as everything off of the closet floors. Not the most fun way to spend the morning but productive nonetheless and it will be very nice to enjoy the new flooring before we move!
We pretty much relaxed and cuddled the rest of the day with the babies and watched a movie. We rented This Is 40 and I was no impressed, too much swearing and kind of sad! When the boys went down, Dan ran to the store and I got busy making baby food; prunes and peaches.
Dan cooked me a delicious steak dinner with roasted asparagus. The night before, he brought home flowers and my favorite candy. The boys had made me flower pots with their footprints at daycare :) A couple of weeks ago I found a Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag for multiples at TJ Maxx so I treated myself because my other diaper bags were too small. I am obsessed, it's huge but fits everything perfectly!
We finished the evening playing with the boys and their Leap Frog table, I put two of the legs on to prop it up so they can play with it. It works perfectly and they just love it!
Other than Mother's Day we had a great weekend. Saturday was my girlfriend Alicia's wedding shower and it was so great to see all of the girls. We'll be celebrating her walk down the aisle in June :) The boys also tried sippy cups with water (the pediatrician encouraged us to introduce water in sippy cups at 6 months, also because it's summer!) We tried giving the babies puffs, they seem to love them. Ben is really working hard on putting them into his mouth himself but he's not quite there :) They're getting great at sitting up alone and love to show off. It was such a great weekend.
Counting down the days of school; 9! How was your Mother's Day?
