Saw It, Pinned It, Did it

Tomorrow is dun, dun, dun...the last day of school! And my last day before I become a SAHM for as long as I can pull it off ;) Which also means that it's the twins last day at daycare. Since cash is tight (hello one income), I wanted to do a cute yet cheap thank you gift for our daycare family.

Once and only once, I was late (thank you parent teacher conferences) so instead of charging me $1 per minute, per baby...$20, George told me he'd forgive my infraction if I brought him a case of Coke and a Snickers. So, I channeled my inner pinner and made a daycare appropriate version of this...

I used a 20 pack of Coke, a cardboard base (from a box of wipes, hehe), a bag of mini Snickers, some raffia and crinkly stuff, I believe that's the technical term, I had left over from another project. I also added a CD of kids music for them to play at the daycare and a card. I used glue dots to stick the cans together, then put the crinkly stuff down and added the next layer and wrapped with the raffia. I used tape to attach the Snickers and put the CD on the back.
I decided to bring it today, in case it fell apart, and it was a hit! I'll definitely do this again, perfect gift for a husband or boyfriend, or daycare provider!

And just because they're so cute...here's a picture of the twins! I'll start working on their 7 month post as soon as I'm a SAHM!
A little blurry, but they're smiling!
